Your role as a feedback provider is to:

• Be objective and honest. Provide both positive and negative feedback.
• Base your feedback on your observations over a period of time, rather than focusing solely on recent situations.
• Support your numerical ratings by providing examples and comments. Our leaders find the comments to be the most meaningful part of this process.
• Connect your examples and comments to the competency statement you are evaluating in each section.

Please avoid:

• Giving someone a higher rating because you’ve worked with them for a long time.
• Giving someone a lower rating based on the comments or opinions of others.
• Using shortcuts when providing examples, such as “same as previous comment”.
